Security
AI makes information easy to combine and pass around. AI OS checks access again when work changes hands, so sharing the work does not share someone else’s permissions.
A shared dashboard resolves data against the viewer’s identity. Each person sees only the data they can already access.
If a conversation has used an MCP tool that a new participant cannot access, AI OS blocks adding them.
People work with the tools and actions approved for their identity. Access does not expand because an agent is doing the work.
Membership lives in Microsoft 365 or Google — administered by IT, not by us. The gateway gates every call on those groups.
Built on the AI governance layer
AI OS applies the same identity, tool policy, approval, and audit controls as the Gateway. People keep the access their organisation has already given them. Agents do not create a second permission system.

A few useful details
Square Agent AI OS is built on Cloudflare’s Apache-licensed open-source project. You can deploy the upstream project yourself. Square Agent charges for configuring the deployment, connecting company identity and approved tools, adapting workflows, and agreeing the support and operating responsibilities for production.
AI OS is the visual employee workspace. Square Agent Live is the spoken interface. Either can use approved tools directly or connect through the Gateway when the deployment needs shared policy, approval, and audit controls.
